AM5 upgrade...

So I've managed to get a 4080 for free (won it) so I thinking if I sell my am4 kit and gpu I can fund a 7800x3d upgrade but its still quite early in the AM5 lifespan....is jumping up a good idea or should I hold off?

I would never have considered it but with getting the 4080 for nothing, I thought I would buy a 5800x3d with the money from the 3070....but then if I sold the rest of my set up I could probably go 7800x3d and only have to spend £150-200... There's no way I'll be able to get off am4 if I don't do it now I feel given the situation Ive found myself in.

Yeah thankfully I don't care about RGB so got g.skill trident neo z5 6000mhz cl30 after I spotted the price had dropped this morning so 7800x3d and b650e has been ordered as well.
It was now or never really, I don't like jumping in early to newer tech but the chance has happened so I'm going in!
