Tried my hand at baking. Fairly basic recipe really. Requires:
200g of dark chocolate
100ml double cream
70g of walnuts, chopped
40ml amaretto
You break up 150g of the chocolate into segments. Put the cream into a saucepan and heat until almost boiling. You then take the pan off the heat and add the chocolate, stirring until its all melted. Add the walnuts (which I pounded into smaller pieces) and amaretto and chill in the fridge until set. You then grate the remaining chocolate, roll the truffles into balls and roll the balls in the grated chocolate.
Made them a little bigger than intended, and the rounding into balls could have gone better, but I think they turned out quite well for a first attempt. Tasty too!
