Somewhat surprising facts

The UK has growing approximately 500,000 Giant Redwood trees and they are growing just as well over here as in their nstive California. Ours are about 160 years old but they can age to over 2000 years.

I am the custodian of this 160y/o baby. There is a second one in the garden, although it's surrounded by other mature trees and quite difficult to photograph despite its size. Sadly, a third has to be removed due to disease.

Super gardens, the only similarity with mine is the blue Arbor seat lower down. :)

Leaping from tree to tree, as they float down the mighty rivers of British Columbia.
The Giant Redwood. The Larch. The Fir! The mighty Scots Pine!

With my best girl by my side.

I was a formwork designer about thirty years ago and the amount of Douglas fir and Larch ply board my work consumed was utterly humungous. I also devoured teams of paper in drawings and calculations
