Seeing you guys running FSX on triple screen and being quite a old game now I just automatically thought it will run maxed out with my new 6950, but no, its gets chuggy when its about 80% maxed out in customise at 1920x1200. So Im guessing its quite a cpu demanding game?

Its a awsome game tho, as Im loving the missions:)

Make sure you have patched, the first one irc made a big difference and also no computer on the planet can run fsx maxed :P

My [email protected] struggles with it if I crank up the AI traffic. It's all about tuning it so you get clear textures and smooth flight. I suggest dropping your AI traffic, cars, boats etc right down to 10% or less first off, and drop your cloud draw distance right down too. Search for Bojote's tweak guide for some useful tweaks to get things going smoothly

I was just amazed as its like a 4-5 yr old game now.. also when I enable aa and put the filter to Anisotropic, I still have quite bad jaggy edges so is there any other way to smooth them out?

Use Nvidia inspector to get the AA and AF sorted.

Your going to struggle with the E8400 to tell the truth, I only started to really enjoy FSX when got my i7 to 4.2Ghz, heres a little video i made -

Ah wel,, I will have to make do as im not upgrading cpu, mem and board for 1-2 yrs. but will get a quad cpu if I ever see 1 going cheap. But saying that, there's only a few games that are really cpu demanding atm.

My mate had the e8500 running fsx had the same problem as you he went and bought a quad problem gone , it is very CPU intensive game.
