i just bought a new pc with following specs
Motherboard - Asus Striker II Extreme
Graphics - 3 x 9800 GTX 512 MB Ram
Processor - Q6600 2.66Ghz Interl Pentium Overclocked to 2.85
Ram - 4Gb DDR3
OS - Vista home premium 64 Bit
PSU - 1000 watts

Results - after over 28 hours of swearing my head off, the system finally turned on, after finding out that a scew on the motherboard was earthing with the case. I found a reference on a forum after i lost hope.

Anyway after installing everything and than finally updated all drives, I could never get a bigger disappointment when i run - Frontline - Fuel for War, Turning point and even Hour of victory.
The pc just lags and lags and lags, i put everything to a minimum and it still lags, i really had enough.

I spent the last 3 days looking for an anwser and yet after i tried all solutions i am still at the bottom of the pit, I simply cannot play any kind of game. anyone can help PLEASE???

Sounds like a hardware issue if you can't get the system to turn on properly.

Try with one stick of ram and try each GPU individually.

Vista takes a few reboots till it starts getting faster as it caches stuff you use a lot. Give it a few days and ** system (duno about gaming) should feel snappier.

What monitor you using? Reason I ask is that 3 x 9800GTX are only really going to come into play with 1920x1200 or higher and then you will need a much better CPU than an Q6600 to avoid bottlenecks. Also the motherboard is overkill you could have saved a lot of money by getting a cheaper one and 1 x 9800GX2 which would probably still give you smooth gameplay.

id update the bios (dont think that has been mentioned) .... and check compatability. have you tried with just one gpu in ?

again 3x those gpus would only help if you were running like a 4 24 inch monitors or something stupid like a 30inch dell .

a 2.85Ghz overclock seems rather lowly for a newb overclocker, nevermind someone with tri-sli!

Which graphics drivers are you using?

i am usuing a hyundai 24" monitor, yeah i did think i did an overkill
well as for vista i did not see anywhere that vista can now work with more than 4gb ram, latest nvidia drivers are 7.15.11.7474.

Hmm bios i have a go at that but i am not confident on really touching that as of yet

64 bit is made for 4gb + the home premium + ones are over 16gb

hmmm i dont know exactly but have you enabled sli in the drivers.

and power wise ... what psu do you have ?

easiest way to check is download GPUZ, run it and tell us

Oh and update direct x cos when vista came out it had a botched together half dx9 and half dx10 (as dx10 isnt fully developed yet) so download directx and install it to have the latest files.
