It is indeed. Been mulling over getting a modular as my Corsair TX 750W is getting on a bit and it looks like a cable bomb has gone off inside my case.

Not sure if this Antec can run my setup but cannot for the life of me find that website that tells you what you need after you add all your stuff to the list.

Anyone?

Cheers for the links.

That Antec would be fine now, but not so if I crossfire or go 5970 / 6*** equivalent. Damn I am using too much juice. :(

They tend to over compensate, I used to have crossfire 5850 with my i7 at 4ghz and this pulled 430w ~ from the mains with one of those plug in energy monitor.

Spec does look good :)

It's a good price for the UK.

In the US people can get these for $55 - $65, with mail-in rebates. Does anyone mind telling me what a "mail in rebate" is, and why we don't have them? :p

I was running a system using a OCZ Mod X Stream 600w (until last week- upgraded PSU with the incoming SLI setup I'm getting soon)

1. i7 clocked to 4Ghz
2. 6GB 2000mhz DDR3 CAS 7 Dominator RAM
3. XFX 5970
4. 1 x SSD
5. 3 x HDD
6. H70 Cooler
7. 2 optical drives
8. 1 x card reader

nice :)..
i've been looking at the h70 & h50 but i'm sure i'm missing something there, i thought they were watercooler? if so where is the water coming from or is all done by air?..

what do you mean the 750w is not "modular" what does that mean?.

the h50 and h70 are self contained water units, the waters inside them, water is better at conducting heat than aire so the theory is it cools better by drawing more heat away, however you have to go for a pretty much top end WCing system for there to be a noticable benefit, these self contained ones arent much better than top end air coolers, their main advantage though is they tend to fit better for systems using RAM with large heatsinks as they dont have their own large heatsink which would clash (they use a radiator which attaches to the chassis of the case)
Modular means some or all of the cables are detachable which can mean tidier cabling and even better airflow as you dont have unnnecessary cables obstructing airflow
non modular means the cables are all attached, some people believe this leads to better ripple but this is debatable
However on high end systems you may use all the attached cables anyway (I do on mine for example)

thank for cleaing that up for me :).. i think the modular would be a good idea for me :).. would this be fine for me the 650w or should i get the 750w for i would be running?.
