If I had more than 2mm of clear space between the window and cpu cooler I would do this to my current case. Already got the panels as the backlight inverters kept dying.

They are missing a trick not offering these side panels for an array of cases. They would make an absolute fortune! I'd buy one for sure, if you could spec the size and case you wanted it for. Having it only available with a bundled system is going to be far less profitable.

Yes. Someone very shortly is going to come along with a kit. And they'll make it run off an internal USB 3 port, not an external video port.
