Amazon 5 Monthly Payments stopped!

Definitely still a thing, I bought something a few hours ago using it. It’s nice to be able to spread payments at 0%. It wasn’t even a massively expensive item, but £25 a month for 5 months isn’t even noticeable.
 
Its almost as if it has learned the type of things I like to spend my money on, then does not give the option on those types of products.
I still get plenty of options for pay in installments but like I said before, just nothing I actually want to buy.

I'd say pay in 5 options have increased for me, Got my CPU on a pay in 5 last week. Still paying for my 3080ti on a pay in 12, got one payment left and it's interest free.

There has been a few occasions where the option has disappeared, so it may turn up for you op.

Yeah it clearly hasn't stopped but it does come on and off again for particular items - I have bought a fair amount via it, cleared plans early etc and I get offered it sporadically on stuff. You all basically always get it on Amazons own stuff like fire sticks and kindles. Example of the randomness of it is I don't get offered it on an iPhone 13, but offered on a 14 pro max, get it on all apple laptops and desktops, but not their studio display as another
 
I can see the option available for some items, but not all. It doesn't seem to be above a certain spend, or just items sold directly by amazon...

e.g. I'm currently looking at motherboards and the option is available on the Strix B550-A, but not the B550-F, both fulfilled by amazon and the latter being slightly more expensive.....weird :confused:

Strange, I get 12 months on all iPhones and laptops, but only 5 months on the studio display.

Nearly all Sony TV’s are available over 12 months for me.

What can Amazon do if they get knocked? There’s no credit check or credit agreement involved, it’s all done on trust

CRA probably costs millions of pounds per month, and they already have a tonne of data on users and their spending habits/commitments to the brand I guess.
 
crazy, when i search Amazon own brand (Echo etc.) I get the 5 month payment option? :confused:

just nothing else, will wait till tomorrow and then get back in touch with them to see whats happening..i dont need this "service" but its nice to have, so still gonna chase it up!

Haha that's crazy that you get 12 months on the laptops! I have only ever got the 12 Months on Sony Cameras and Lenses which I have used (and completed) before...

Actually now it's showing on the Studio Display for 5 Payments!

I will add, I have had the same amazon account since about 2004, and have had about 15 instalment plans with perfect payment history
 
They moved the majority of items over to Barclays finance a while ago I think. Either too many folk taking the p*ss and not paying or Barclays saw the opportunity and did a deal with them.

Obviously now a credit check is required for Barclays whereas there wasn't one when Amazon themselves provided the finance .

Nope, not showing on any Sony TVs, it feels somewhat random at times - I can buy a 3500 MacBook Pro on it but not a 1000 TV

Is that not via Barclays finance?.. hence the reusable credit limit. Amazon is the broker not the lender as it states, so matches you up with Barclays.

Whenever I've used Amazon monthly payments in the past there's been no APR or reusable credit. For instance I purchased a £2.5k UST projector and paid for it over 12 months via Amazon. No credit check , nothing.

Now they're offering an Amazon Business Amex card for some reason.

Search 5 monthly payments amazon and the first return should be a ' pay over time' banner explaining the options. ( via the app anyway ).
