Amazon annoyance.

When I click on some thing in a Google search I have just done, more often or not another page from Amazon will open. At the moment I am playing Assassins Creed Odyssey and often looking for clues as to how to complete a quest and clicking on a link will cause amazon to pop up advertising something to do with the game, if that makes sense, does not happen every time but certainly enough to make it annoying.

i remove Amazon Assistant extension think that was at fault but nope. Any thoughts?

It opens Amazon in a new tab/window?

Tried switching browsers to check if it happens on all of them?

Yes and no it only happens in Chrome.

I would just do a complete reinstall of Chrome then. Make sure you tick the boxes to clear out all the cache etc when you uninstall (I believe this is an option)

are the the search result links causing the re-direct, all to the same site ?... so that site is the problem
