Amazon Audible - Stupid Question!

I've been looking into this and one thing i'm struggling to find from Amazon is what the deal is with how many books i can listen to.

It says 1 credit per month which seems to suggest that i can only listen to a book per month. But then it says i can swap unlimited times.

Am i right in thinking that i get 1 credit per month which means how many books i can concurrently have saved?

So

Month 1 = 1 Book in my library (swapable unlimited times)
Month 2 = Book from end of month 1 is locked to my account and i now have a new credit which allows me to swap books to find one i like/want to keep.

Is that right? It seems confusing and i'm not sure why. I initially assumed it was like Spotify where i just listened to stuff at will.
 
If I interpret what you're saying correctly, no. A credit allows you to effectively 'purchase' any book from the Audible store and it is effectively yours, regardless as to whether you stay subscribed. You cannot swap or trade out that purchase.

As far as I'm aware you are able to 'return' the book if you don't like it, but I'd assume you'd only be able to do that if you'd read a specific amount.
 
It is an audio book purchasing website, so 1 credit allows you to purchase 1 book. They do 1, 2, 12 and 24 book plans it seems.

How're you seen that? All i can see is that it's £7.99 a month but no mention of anything else

Suggesting i could listen to a book and then swap it for something else.

Seems like there's some option for prime/kindle unlimited with audio books too. Gonna take a look into those.

Fancy having something to listen to whilst running other than music but not keen at £8 per book. I have a few fictional podcasts at the moment but thought a book would be good.
 
While you're subscribed you can swap a book back for a credit and use this for another book - if you suspend or end the subscription these books become locked in until you renew your subscription.
