Is Amazon now moving over to a monthly subscription?

Reading their new blink mini and new outdoor camera.

I thought blink cameras offered free cloud storage etc?

any purchased the latter end of this year get free cloud until March 2021, then a sub is required

Depends on which models. The XT2 don't have a subscription it seems, which is great.

I have 3x XT2's and according to the Facebook Blink site I won't ever have to pay a subscription.
I bought a Ring doorbell yesterday for £59 but I don't need that to record.

If you bought your camera and sync module kit before April 2020 you don't need to pay a subscription, I believe that includes adding the new Blink Outdoor camera to you existing sync module

Send them an email for specific questions and confirmation they respond really quickly

Got a 3 camera system of the new Blink cameras a few weeks ago and they're really good, they come with free cloud storage until March 21 (after this then it's a scale depending on how many cameras you have as to how much the monthly fee is) as someone pointed out but there's a USB port on the sync module that I've stuck in a 128Gb stick and when we get up in the morning I delete all the videos of cats walking on our garden.

As mentioned if you get the older XT2 cameras then there isn't any requirement to pay for the cloud storage.

Yes, on the app you can select cloud or local storage and watch which ever videos you want
