Amazon EC2 VS ???

Hi all,

I'm thinking of signing up to EC2 by amazon to host a few applications I've been developing personally and contractually. As well as porting over my website to the EC2 cloud then pushing my Nameservers.

Is this possible or would any of you be able to recommend a better solution / company (such as VPS for instance)?

We've just started using www.heartinternet.co.uk/vps - so far no complaints and cheap.

I've not used EC2 but I've found the Rackspace Cloud experience to be pretty good.
