Amazon Fire stick re: You tube wont open?

Hi, we have a fire stick plugged into a tv in the bedroom.

Has Netflix and Youtube on it.

recently You tube wont open, comes up with 'you tube needs updating please go to your library'

I have looked everywhere on the fire stick and cannot find anything or anywhere to update or remove etc you tube.

Any ideas on what to perhaps do please??

Everything else on the stick seems to work fine.

Go into settings/apps/manage apps and uninstall it from there then download it again.

Haven't Amazon and Google been having a spat about YouTube and Google disable it on Amazon devices? I'm sure I read something along those lines this week.

I remember reading something about that too but when i checked YT on my FTV it was working fine.
