Hi,
Not sure if this is quite the right place for this...
I'd like to get roughly 50GB of Glacier space so I can backup my most important stuff 'off-site'.
I'd like to upload to it daily (or weekly). I can't see those uploads being more than a few MB. Stuff like backups of my KeePass etc.
Retrieval will be rare (which is the point in Glacier as I'm lead to believe). As I understand if I have 50GB of data on there I can retrieve 5% of that for free (2.5GB)? Is that right?
What I find confusing is when you hover over 'storage' on the calculator it says "we will assume that you will store the data for at least 90 days". I plan to store the data basically forever but just overwrite it when I make changes on my PC and occasionally delete stuff when I don't want it anymore. I've had a look at another unofficial calculator and the longer you store data for the more expensive it is which is a bit strange. Can anyone tell me how that works?
Thanks,
Craig.
