Amazon Lockers

They're exactly what they're described as on the website - a locker. They deliver goods there, they'll email/text you when the delivery is made, you go pick the item up. Very convenient if you have one nearby and don't have an address at which you can receive goods during the day.

Are they completely free for everything (items that are suitable for free delivery)? Is there a size limit? Are they locked and how to you get your stuff out? Sorry for all the questions lol

I'm going to start using them as I've just found at that there's one near me too. My main problem is that only stuff sold directly by Amazon (i.e. not a seller/store) can be sent to the lockers.

I've found that the amount of stuff I buy from Amazon is increasingly coming from such sellers rather than direct through Amazon. I'm not sure if that's because my buying habits have changed, coincidence, or Amazon are just selling less these days.

My first thought when reading this thread was about a thread a while back where some dude's boss was giving him crap for the amount of personal deliveries he was having at work.

I ****ing love GD. It's awesome as a replacement for female interaction.

There's something similar to this down the far end of the car-park at Sainsburys in Stoke. I always wondered what it was so made a point having a quick buthcer's a month or so back. Seems to be a bank of lockers with a touch screen for entry.

Don't think they're Amazon though.

I've used Amazon Locker a number of times now, very convenient. I'm never at home during normal courier delivery times; my closest locker is in a shop five minutes walk away that shuts at 10PM. And it's only £1.99 for next day delivery. :)
