Amazon Music HD new exclusive mode wow

Amazon Music HD app has recently added a new option for exclusive sound mode, disabling shared sound.

I'm using an old Asus Essense ST, simply put it's the best audio I've ever had on this sound card, it's like someone fitted an even better sound card.

I can only describe as having a similar benefit to direct mode on some amplifiers, where distortion is reduced as some of the electronic circuits are bypassed.

It's a bit disconcerting as you loose all other sound from the computer.

If you have the chance, install a trail of Amazon Music HD and enable the new exclusive mode, have a listen then post back and tell me what you think.

Not going to lie, could barely tell a difference between Ultra HD tracks and Spotify when AB testing. If I weren't AB testing I wouldn't hear a difference.

Using HD650's through a Valhalla 2 and Bifrost Multibit.

I totally agree and found similar myself.

However i'm referring to exclusive mode that's only been added in the last 2 weeks, this is making a difference.

The annoying thing is I couldn't really blind test myself with exclusive mode due to the nature of itself. By the time I got Spotify running I basically forgot how it sounded.

May give it another try later down the line.

You don't need to blind test against Spotify. You can simply enable/disable exclusive mode while playing music on Amazon HD, and you can hear the difference immediately.

As mentioned exclusive mode is new feature, and Amazon Music with it enabled it's surely the best quality music I've ever had from a computer.
