Hi guys,

I placed an order at 1:30pm today for next day delivery using amazon pay. Recieved a confirmation email but as of now (almost 10pm) no shipping confirmation and Amazon payments shows my payment is still pending. Any ideas, am I out of luck for tomorrow now?

Edit: The order doesn't appear when I try login to my account on the site.

If the available balance on your bank / credit card has gone down, the authorisation has been processed, but amazon will not show a charge until it is shipped. You may be able to see open authorisations or not on your customer side account, the merchant certainly can.

Couple of reasons. Convenience of not having to re-enter my card details on another website and I trust amazon with a high value transaction like this one. The options available so why not take advantage?
 
I have once before not got a dispatch email until the morning and it arrived I assume it was an issue with my email provider though.

Best bet is to cross your fingers and give them a ring in the morning see if they can tell you what's going on.

An item may be out of stock if it's a multi piece order.
 
All right, well fingers crossed. I have a few days off work and was looking forward to spending it with some new components. Both items show in stock on the site, with one being 10+ and the other has changed from 6 to 4 in stock over the last hour or so.

Amazon seem to be having a few problems ATM. Prime has fallen down big time with a couple of recent items taking 2 - 3 days to reach us and they also seem to have reverted to using Royal Mail.

Same here, not impressed really. Paid for some items Wednesday morning, selected next day which is obviously free with prime. They're arriving Saturday.

This comes up on amazon chat before you even talk to anyone:

"Due to the popularity of Black Friday and Cyber Monday Deals Weeks, temporarily some deliveries may take longer than usual to arrive."
 
Have to say while my amazon payment did work and everything was fine in the end, i'll probably stick to using paypal anyway as i find it easier to see whats going on with my money etc. Having said that everything i've purchased from amazon its self with my card has always been fine and delivered when it said it would.

I made an OCuk account because my order is from OCuk not Amazon, I just used the Amazon sign in options available on OCuk to place my order which in hindsight seems to have been a bad idea.

I've used GD because I wasn't sure where else it would go, and yes I do have a post in Customer Services too before you ask.
 
Update - Turns out a cable that OCuk pack with the monitor was out of stock. I'm assuming the monitor comes with a European plug and not a UK one as standard so OCuk pack a UK one in.
They've removed it from the order, refunded my delivery charge and every things set to get here tomorrow. I'm fine with just using an adaptor on the plug.

10/10 Service.

Can't fault prime. Ordered late got it next day. Ordered around 10AM and got it at 7PM same day.

Just got to be down to the area you live in I guess.

Its a known problem with Amazon pay updating OCUK with details.
Happened last year black Friday time.
Another problem is stock can show 10, you'll even get a confirmation of your order but by the time your order gets through from Amazon the item can be out of stock.
