Amazon Prime sucks massive donkey balls

Its crazy the turnaround, earlier in this thread pre covid I was whinging about all the issues, but they have seemed to got their act together now.

Now get delivery hour slots every order, no more post 10pm deliveries, and no more skipped deliveries.
Can you send your Amazon Logistics this way? They suck here. Never get a delivery slot, just an 'expected between' period that they miss 90% of the time. Useless [insert favourite swear word here].

On the whole Amazon and Prime has been excellent but sometimes it can be annoying.
So I clicked on 'buy these within the next 5 hours and they will be delivered before 1pm' button.
Updated delivery email 5:15pm to 8:15pm and I really needed these for a job I was doing today :(

One way I used to get round the issues when my area was bad was weekend deliveries, I think the problem was businesses were been prioritised, and I noticed sunday deliveries nearly always were before 1pm rather than typically 6pm to 1am.

Same day delivery helped in a way that it at least reduced the official window from 7am to 8pm to 3pm to 9pm.

Getting fed up with Prime. They used to be awesome, same day delivery on many products and guaranteed next day for 99% of their stock. My Astro A50s died so I want to order new ones. £250 on Amazon which is the going rate, great thinks I, I'll order it on Prime Now and have it in a couple of hours. Price? £350. £100 more for same day delivery. Fair enough, I can use an alternative for the night and get them delivered tomorrow. Can I? No. Wednesday soonest. It's not like I live in the sticks either.

Prime cancelled. Not worth paying extra for delivery which can be had free elsewhere.

/Rant
I never paid for Amazon prime. It's only wroth if you need to watch amazon prime videos and music. You can try Amazon locker for mall items. It's completely free.

I hate the way Amazon doesn't let you filter sellers as easily as it used to, you have to go through quite a few layers of categories. They've also made the "buying options" menu a lot less clear. I'd rather they had a button that said "only sold and dispatched by Amazon" (I know the Prime option sort of does this but still includes third party sellers).

I'll add this on to this thread as the item was delivered faster because I have prime.

So I order a book that came from Germany. It gets all the way here, then the Amazon guy (in Amazon vehicle) delivers the parcel to my door.

I get the notification that my order as been delivered. Only to find its some notepad paper for the neighbour across the road!

Amazon deliveries seem to be gradually going down hill these days. This is the second complaint I've had against them in a short time. The last one is they delivered something I hadn't ordered but because they had put one of their labels over most of the address the postman could only see the post code. I'm one of the first houses on the road so looks like he just give it to me.

Amazon Logistics have done this to me and one of my neighbours (2 doors down) about 4 times in the last 12 months or so. Even though the house number is quite clearly written on the door they've managed to deliver my orders to the neighbour and his orders to me repeatedly! They've been **** since their inception here. Bring back DPD deliveries, or literally any other courier, 'cos AL are just the worst courier going!

What did the neighbour think of the book?

I managed to get my parcel after noticing on the cctv that the Amazon driver went to the neighbours house. I took the notepad stuff he'd ordered and he hadn't noticed that the parcel he got had my address on it so we exchanged parcel.

Luckily he didn't open the parcel for me. This month's chicken pluckers edition was good!

(joking before anyone takes it seriously :))

This happens so often
About 6.30pm the Ring is pressed, I answer it from about 6 miles away and the delivery driver is standing there.
"I'm trying to deliver your parcel"
What does it says on your notes
"Put in the blue bin behind the gate"
Well can you do that please?

I know it's an age old argument but he couldn't get that through our post box, why oh why put the items in something that big :)
