Amazon Prime sucks massive donkey balls

Bought an echo, installed the Alexa app and tried to log in, it wanted an OTP so I put that in and it crashes out. That's annoying......tried a few times, then it said wait a minute before requesting a new one.

But now, I cannot get an OTP, how ever long I wait!

Anyone had this, did you manage to fix it?

Customer services cant do anything. One said do a password reset, I was reluctant, but did. Didnt work anyway....

He said he'd raise a 'trouble ticket' now.

Hoping once this is sorted, I can turn off 2FA and log into the Alexa app

Bit of a random question here but does anyone know how long it takes for Amazon refunds to happen ? Sent back some stuff a week ago for refund but haven’t even had an email from Amazon saying they have received anything

I've had anything from as soon as it's scanned as posted to 2 weeks after it was showing as delivered

Did a refund last week for a faulty product and it took about 14-15 days from sending the item back.

Cheers. Starting to worry a bit as they haven’t even appeared as being delivered back to Amazon yet, it still tells me to send them back in the order/refund status of the website.
Yeah I had similar, that was the one that took two weeks. It was also the most expensive thing I've ever returned to them so it was a bit of squeaky bum time.
Just means it's sat in the pile at one of their warehouses waiting to be scanned.

yeah, sometimes i get a refund processed a few hours once its with Royal Mail and on the way back, other times until they receive it, and even then can be several days, think the amount of returns they need to process on a daily basis. It is Amazon after all.

I've not done many returns/refunds but similar experience as above - one was pretty much straight away and the other took like 10 days or something. (EDIT: 11 days actually though it stated 5-7 business days in the email).

Last time I returned something to amazon, the refund hit my account before I had even taken the item to the post office

I usually take the refund as Amazon credit as that's usually refunded as soon as you drop the item at the Post Office/Evri/other dropoff point. It can take much longer if you have it refunded to your original payment method, and obviously you then have the 3 - 5 clearing days.

ive had 2 things send back recently, they took ages to refund
in the past it was instant

im guessing they are being more careful or theres a problem with the returns system

I live in an apartment. Ordered a leather laptop bag from Amazon.de, came via Austrian post.

Tracking just said "delivered" but with no comments where or to whom (I was out all day)

Spoke to Amazon on chat, they raised it with the retailer who got in touch and despatched another.

Again, it came on a day when I was not home and the tracking just states "delivered" so I will need to contact them again tomorrow.

I feel sorry for the retailer who's sent me €300 of laptop bags so far and I don't have any of them. Bit mad to send something of that value with no signature required though?

I wouldn't be too concerned until about three weeks in. A damaged parcel went back to the depot without an attempted delivery and it stayed liked that for weeks before the tracking disappeared. I waited three months before it became obvious in my account the problem had been forgotten. I contacted support and had to ask the AI after going round in circles to let me speak to a human and then I was quickly refunded. It was only ~£50 worth of items and I knew it'd eventually get sorted.

Following a few recent Amazon deliveries he's the difference between Amazon Logistics and DPD (in this area), and why I detest Amazon Logistics:

DPD: Provide a one hour time slot, are never late to said time slot, and deliver in the morning (9:45 being the most recent) and I don't think they've ever delivered later than 5pm.
Amazon Logistics: Usually provide something like a three hour time slot which they regularly miss, never deliver until at least lunchtime - usually significantly later, and regularly after 6pm.

Amazon have also, on multiple occasions, delivered to the wrong address which is something DPD have never done and I can't think of any other couriers that have ever mis-delivered my parcels either. Logistics are just an utter **** show.

In general I can't complain about missed deliveries or things going to the wrong address from Amazon.... I do agree about the time slot thing though, that's incredibly annoying, made even worse when you're served by 2 different depots which makes delivery time a little harder to 'guestimate'. The thing which annoys me it that no matter what time it's due, I never know anything until gone 10am....I'm not even sure my packages are on the road by then lol

In all honesty I'm quite lucky in my delivery companies all being pretty good these days and living on an easy to find road etc... having said that on the rare occasions I need to return something within the first month say, Amazon is by far the most convenient and quickest to refund stuff.

It does make you wonder how many Logistics parcels go missing last week one parcel was misdelivered (to me) another to somebody else just in one building if thats a representative list it must be a good percentage. They don't even wait to check if they have the correct address its just a bang on the door and a parcel on the doormat. Otherwise I'd have pointed it its the wrong address/person but that would mean they have to do more work and take them back...

Am I tripping or you can't filter by seller anymore when searching for an item? All I can see Prime/Free Delivery by Amazon but that includes all the FBA items.
