Amazon prime video advertising

Hello all,

I wonder if anyone noticed this or find this as annoying.
Watching a single season and after each episode I get an advertisement for some other Amazon show, I get this every single episode, this used to be lot less as far as I can remember, and now after each episode I have to skip the trailer, this is annoying. Does anyone know if this can be disabled? I understand they are advertising for their shows but isn't it a bit excessive?
 
I could understand it if it was on another service, but it’s on their own service. The sheer fact you’re watching it means you already subscribe, so what’s the point in interrupting your viewing?
 
Get it before everything I play I think on my fire tv, less so on my shield. They can be annoying to skip as well as you dont always get a skip trailer button.

Yes it is annoying and other platforms have started doing it now like iplayer.
 
Yeah I started watching something on Prime recently, can't believe how many ads there are. How is this not mentioned more in comparisons to Netflix?
 
This is frustrating, as you all said it's paid service, I just wanted to make sure it's not just me, that said maybe I can contact customer service, it's a bit of a disgrace showing so much ads down to people who are already paying. Netflix doesn't have this issue as far as I know, they made an effort so you see all their exclusives on the site instead of before each episode.
 
Haven't had a single advert using the TV app and I watch something almost daily on that.

I get 1 advert when I open the app on my tablet which I can close immediately.
 
Sky are terrible for it, on stuff downloaded they even have normal ad breaks now rather than just show a couple of up and coming programs.
 
Amazon TV ads seem to be made to some weird template: Find the most annoying backing music, play random clips that make zero sense, at the very end make the music more pronounced and have some deep text or clip followed by the amazon prime logo.

Whoever is in charge of the trailers team honestly needs to be fired, they are so uninspiring and downright annoying.
 
Don't get them on the TV apps but if I watch on the PC it does the advert for something else every few episodes, luckily you can skip these.
 
I never watch but get them.
I use Prime on Roku and there's a skip button on them, also on my iPad app there's a skip button.
 
The kip button is there, that is true I was just annoyed with how often I get them, I seem to get them more when watching on PC through the AMAZON site then using Prime video casting to my TV.
I contacted the Amazon customer services, and they call them Snippets, but the guy did tell me they are looking into making the experience better by being able to adjust the snippet settings. But because this comes sometimes from different networks they need to make everyone happy.
He did not provide any time line unfortunately.
So I guess, /RANT as not much more I can do here :)
 
Been watching twitch lately.
When I log into my account I get Amazon adverts all the time..... No account l8galog innin advert...
Bizzare.
