Amazon prime, yet again not here?

actually.. over the last 30-40 orders with prime I have not had a single item turn up late, both to work address and home address, even sundays.

same - never had a missed next day delivery, even get a 1 hour time slot everytime from DPD. Absolutely can't fault it.

Even buy the dog food from Amazon - free next day delivery and 20% cheaper than anywhere local including supermarkets!! Love the fact it's couriered to my house the other day, the driver asked me how much I paid for it, and he said he's going to start buying it from Amazon as well!!!:D:D

I wish I had a late delivery, the free extensions would be lovely.

But no, the 90 odd deliveries this year have all be on time!:D

All prime orders turn up next day without fail, the one that amazed me most was a Kindle order at about 9PM on a Friday night which arrived 8am Saturday morning via Royal Mail.

Only ever had 1 item go missing, I waited a week, they sent a replacement, suddenly I ended up with the item twice, they told me to keep it and also gave me a months extra membership as compensation.

Somehow doubt it'll be turning up at half 8 in the evening, haha, but I can hope, tbh it's like the package is important its the principle.

You'd be surprised I had written a delivery off once then it dropped through the door at half 9 on a Saturday night.

Another one who has never had a late delivery (on around 300+ parcels).

My parcels appear to be coming later and later though, had a few not arrive until around 9pm when being sent using Amazon Logistics.

I have placed around 50 orders since May.

Only 2 arrived one day later.

the first was one i ordered it right on my last moment for sunday delivery.
The second was a phone screen, which for some reason after ordering changed its delivery date to 2 days instead of 1. I asked why and they said it was because the first warehouse was out of stock so they are having it sent down from a second warehouse which had it instock. Which was 250miles away..... SO bloody good service imo

DPD deliveries - all delivered on day promised.

Royal Mail deliveries - all delivered on day promised.

Yodel - Good luck mate

Why Amazon insist on using Yodel is a mystery.

Should be renamed YodeLOL

Joke of a company.

DPD are awesome, text/email updates, live driver view. Can send messages to the driver, everything you want!

I can't remember the last time our household didn't get a Prime delivery (especially by DPD or Amazon logistics) on time, and we average probably 3-4 a week.

Having said that we are fairly close to one of their main hubs/depots (my nephew had his first job in one), and there is always someone in which means that the drivers know they can drop off packages for neighbours here.

I think all the delivery firms seem to have good service around here, even City Link was pretty good, and Yodel isn't too bad.
However the actual delivery time varies massively, but seems partly dependent on the driver (there are 2 or 3 Amazon logistics drivers that seem to be regulars here), as it can be anything from 10am to nearly 8pm, but usually early afternoon.

Had dozens of items sent last couple of months, not a single issue until today.

They sent 3 office chairs through Yodel to my office....

I don't think I need to say anymore. If they have started using Yodel I'm cancelling prime.

Sorry for mentioning a competitor, please delete if It shouldn't be here.

I'm not actually praising them here, anyone else every not have items follow the whole next day rule? I'd say a solid 60-70% of my items turn up late. Whats worse is most say they are "out for delivery" no they aren't. Just ****** off that I pay so much for a service yet not getting what I paid for.

Don't get me wrong its handy when things actually turn up. Just want piece of mind to know I'm not the only person.

PS its not my postal service as it happens at both my addresses.

boo hoo to you.

Easily had around 100 delivery's from them. Closest they came to missing a delivery was in the snow. And the driver left his van and walked to my house instead. So After having a hot brew and a chat with him couldn't fault him or the delivery service at all. Unlike places like parcelforce they genuinely seem to take pride in there work and reputation.

I can't remember if I've ever had a prime order turn up late.

In fact, if given the option, I'll opt out of the next day delivery option and take a £1 movie/mp3 credit instead. :D

Amazon delivery is pretty much the best out there. So much so that even for essentials I dont feel the need to go to shops as they deliver on Sunday etc.

Did have one delivery go astray few days ago but not bothered as the other god knows how many went through fine.

See for me it's always Royal Mail deliveries too. Both in Brighton and back home. It's also Royal Mail that have lost my parcels in the past. **** Royal Mail.

I have had the same experience with Prime.

When they send stuff out by DPD all is good and I receive it the next day but I noticed a lot of mine get sent out with Royal Mail 1st class post.

A good sixty percent of those do not arrive next day.

Anyone else get retarded choices on the delivery allocation with prime or is it just me? Examples for instance, order a £1.88 cd album for the wife gets delivered next day by DPD. £350 of pre-ordered 3DS games for the kids gets sent via Royal Mail 1st class tracked that takes a week to arrive - this seems to be a frequent, thing, with them for me at least - annoying because the only failed/missing deliveries I've had have been Royal Mail tracked...
