Sorry for mentioning a competitor, please delete if It shouldn't be here.

I'm not actually praising them here, anyone else every not have items follow the whole next day rule? I'd say a solid 60-70% of my items turn up late. Whats worse is most say they are "out for delivery" no they aren't. Just ****** off that I pay so much for a service yet not getting what I paid for.

Don't get me wrong its handy when things actually turn up. Just want piece of mind to know I'm not the only person.

PS its not my postal service as it happens at both my addresses.

actually.. over the last 30-40 orders with prime I have not had a single item turn up late, both to work address and home address, even sundays.

I envy you, worst part is I'm not even exaggerating, granted most times its only a day late, (and yes I've ordered before the cut off) ordered these items on Monday afternoon before the Monday cut off, wasn't dispatched till today and now apparently my order is still "out for delivery". Its ridiculous.

Guess I'm just unlucky then.

Sounds a lot like your local Amazon delivery guy is rubbish, I've had no problems either.

I'd suggest complaining direct, live chat works well. At the very least you might get some compensation. Amazon are decent when it comes to CS at least.

Yeah I think that's gonna be my next step, as said, it's both my addresses that have the issue. I think I just have bad luck with post. Had too many things not turn up and repeatedly delays, even from here I've had late deliveries, but that i can't complain about as its free :p

Yes have to say i can't remember the last time a prime delivery did not turn up on the day it was supposed to, and that is work or home. You just seem to be unlucky with deliveries in your area.

I swear by Amazon Prime - I think it's bloody brilliant. Ordered a load of stuff for my new flat on Sunday and was quoted delivery today but it arrived yesterday to my local newsagent. Perfect service.

Every time something is late to immediately open a case on Amazon and get a free month prime without question.

It's part of their prime guarantee.

Basically £8 compensation.

Best one yet was a £7 item ordered on Saterday night that for some reason said i would still get next day delivery on a Sunday! Knowing fine well I wouldn't I ordered it anyway and received it on Monday as I predicted. Basically got the item free...

When I had it a couple of years ago I had mixed results with it. Some stuff would turn up on time, others would turn up late.

wait excuse me? for every late delivery you get a free month? This makes it a little less painful. What do you say? do you straight up demand it or what?

I want the experience you guys have. Just waiting for the day same day delivery is here. :D

Yep you just jump on the live chat or drop them a message saying your item didn't arrive on the day stated and they say oh very sorry we've added another month to your membership to say sorry.

98.5% (exactly) of my Amazon prime orders this year have turned up on time. 1 was late due to a rare screw up by DPD and even RM has managed to deliver 100% on time this year surprisingly - the other failures were also down to the courier but pretty much standard level of (bad) service from the ones in question.

Somehow doubt it'll be turning up at half 8 in the evening, haha, but I can hope, tbh it's like the package is important its the principle.

Ive placed over 100 orders over the time I've had Prime and every single one came on time without fail. I've come across every courier and they've all been great.

And +1. You do get another month free. After they failed to deliver something to me (which was completely my **** up), they instantly offered me an extra free month. They didn't even look into whether or not it was their fault (I sent the item I bought to a different address and complained that the driver said no one was home..... I felt like a dick when I found out it was my fault)/
