Amazon prime, yet again not here?

We've tended to good service from Amazon Prime, but in the last three months had 2 or 3 occassions where the package hasn't arrived the day it was meant to (instead arriving 2-3 days later after we got a "delayed" email in the evening), and this week a package was left outside, the lights were on and there were three people downstairs.

DPD or Amazon logistics?

We've had the latter for about 6 months, and whilst they haven't let me down - they seem less professional than DPD and would imagine them dropping the parcel and doing a knock n run.

Amazon has been AMAZING for me recently.

I bought two expensive items but sent them back for a refund. They got lost in the post on the way back. They agreed to refund me instantly when I told them.

Same just happened to me,took them a month to e-mail me and tell me they haven't received the item, got amazon to ring me and it was sorted within a few mins, had a refund the day i opened a case, amazing customer service.

This happened again to me a few days ago, ordered a mouse mat for the gf and took 3 days, complained and got another free month. Oh well, guess i'm just unlucky.

I've used prime quite a bit over the last 18 months and it's been great.

That said, I ordered 2 items late on Thursday with a Saturday delivery and got a "sorry, it's not going to turn up today" email around 6pm on Saturday. Now they are saying Monday or Tuesday.

1st world problems I know, but still get's my goat when I'm paying for a premium service.

I've only used it once and it failed miserably, the supposed Sunday delivery service which for whatever reason wasn't available for me despite customer support telling me that "yes its out for delivery today". Surely they should have software that can tell by your postcode if Sunday delivery is available or not when the order is in the checking out stage?

Sounds a lot like your local Amazon delivery guy is rubbish, I've had no problems either.

Same for me, no late deliveries with any of my prime orders. I think the last time I thought my item was late was due to me missing the next day by a few minutes.

Delivery to me is usually about 5:30-6:30 at the new address, which is quite handy. :)

A lot of my parcels are now being delivered by Amazon Logistics, the problem being I get stuff delivered to my workplace as no-one is around during the day but the deliveries are getting later, one turing up at 9:15pm last week but luckily security were around to take it.

Also had problems with items being delayed by a week and when I asked why I couldnt get a straight answer so had to go elsewhere for the product which was delivered next day.

If this continues I will cancel prime.

Amazon Logistics .... Worst service I have had since they used Yodel.

We have recently been switched to the new service and its utterly rubbish, 3 times our parcel was "out for delivery" and it finally turned up tonight.
We asked the driver where it had been and long story short, he was adamant it was Amazon's fault, not with the delivery company, they were given 7 hours worth of goods to deliver per day and he wouldn't even recommend Prime.

Have spoken with CS and been given 30 days membership added on as a sorry - something I did not expect but was certainly a nice gesture.

Personally I feel sorry for the drivers as they are most likely overworked on zero hour contracts and are having to deal with complaints like this on every drop so instead of blaming the driver, simply asked Amazon to review their delivery centres.

To me, it sounds like they severely underestimated the amount of parcels going on and hiring too few drivers.

Hope it gets sorted - DPD were such a nice company to deal with. Never late and could actually plan my day around them and be back home in to sign for the delivery.

PS - Please never stop using DPD OcUk :P

I do a large proportion of my non-grocery shopping with Amazon, at least an order a week I'd guess. Must've spent well over £10k with them in the last few years. I rarely get a late delivery with Prime, but when I do, a quick call or live chat to customer services gets me another month's free membership.

Why are mine never late, sometimes would like that to get a free month.

Even when I order at like 7pm, it's been here next day. and everything always amazon logistics, rather than rm or dpd.

i suspect the number of missed deliveries i've had is because i buy stuff on a specific day so they arrive on a saturday due to working on the day shift.
they likely don't work as long hours on weekends.

Prime is getting a joke with me.stLas thing I ordered got canceled 5 days later as it was still on processing. Customer services just didn't care.

Amazon use DPD here - as do OCUK - and they are excellent. If I order from Amazon or OCUK one day, I'll get it late the next. Except at weekends, when it's Amazon only.

DPD have their depot on the Altens estate and I used to work almost next door. When I was working a night shift I used to be able to pop by very late to pick up my deliveries.

Hmm, So the items I ordered on Thursday for a Saturday delivery just got updated to say "Your parcel was returned to Amazon.co.uk because it was refused at the delivery address". Utter tripe, delivery wasn't even attempted.

Not had a problem with prime before, but if this is the service to be expected from now on, I'll pass thanks.

See what CS has to say, but I'll not hold my breath.
