AMD 1200 or 2200G?

I will have a look at them.

thanks a lot.
nice spot ! those slipped under the radar - specially the Gaming 3, looks like it has Gigabytes newest M.2 heatsinks so doesn't look like they are to old in life design

if you can, push the Gaming 3 x370 over the DS3H

Well I have been looking for the 300 series boards which work out of the box with the APUs,and spotted those. AMD really needs to get the B450 boards out!!

i think they have wised up haha, that or board vendors had a word as if they have increased VRM to the same percentage that x470 got, you wouldn't need x370 or x470 boards haha .

personally feel AMD got it wrong. B chip sets should have had locked core - and forced users to buy X Cpu models but unlocked RAM . X Chip unlock everything .

sure i had the week number for B450s somewhere, will have to check :D

seem 2fps from 3000 to 3200hz > as Journey put it , if 3200 kit aint on sale not worth it

same as above 2fps increase from 3200 to 3600hz , if you can get it to work

is worth noticing latency timings drop with increase ram speed

just same shame theirs no avaergae or lowest frame rate shown , would personally have higher average & lowest frame count
Is this with iGPU?

One thing I have just noticed is that the I3 8100 is only £15 more, is it worth looking at this as well over the 2200G?

Sure, look at it, then don't bother since the built in HD graphics are diabolical at best. The limiting factor you will face, no matter which CPU you chose will be the graphics bottle neck, the HD 5830 is not going to perform better on an i3-8100 vs. the 2200G, and the i3 as you put it is more expensive, 27% more expensive. :)

I did think that maybe the case as well.

I shall stick with the Ryzen then, thanks a lot for the replies everyone :D

Final build is as follows

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £266.62 (includes shipping: £11.70)

Apart from different case, I did a build for my brother with the same RAM, MOBO, and CPU.

Dont forget to get a PSU ...(wont go without one :D ). 350-400W will do for now , easily , and allow you to add a discrete GFX card in future.
