hey

Right at the moment i have brought some bits for my new build. I have a ati x800gto16, 1.5gb of ram (ocz + geil value) and im still looking for a mobo but i already have my eye on the one i want.

I havnt got loads of money to spend but im looking for a retail amd cpu thats 64bit. The 3000+ newcastle is right in my price range and seems ok. Is it any good? Also will it bottleneck the rest of my system? Everything else it have isnt really anything special, i dont have raptor drives or any of the like.

i mainly play games such as BF2 and strategy games.

thanks :)

medium settings? If i have a x800gto16 i want to atleast to play medium/high settings. I only run at 1024x768 res with no AA or AF most of the time will that make a difference? Well i need a decent processor but i cant really stretch my budget that much. Whats the next best processor up from the 3000+?

ah ok cool. I'm looking at the 3000+ newcastle processor and the 3000+ venice processor. Which one is better and whats the differences? I know they are different sockets but what else makes them different?

but the thing is my last pc fried because of me messing with it. i only want to overclock it when its needed, not from brand new.
