AMD 3700+/ Intel Core 2 DUO E6300 differences

It all depends what you want i guess, from what i was reading a 6300 @ 2.5 beats a fx62 easily seeing as these can easily hit 3 gig+ its a pretty big improvement.

If you plan to overclock it, then yes. At stock, I doubt you'd see much difference at all (except better multitasking I guess).

The Duo chip is better in the respect its daul core, and it`ll most likely clock upto 3 gig with the right board and ram. So if you change all that, then the difference will be pretty big.

yeah im changing everything!

what you think? should get a thew more fps out of bf2

Would avoid the DS3/HZ combo, sometimes it works sometimes it dosen't, this with 6 DS3s so far i've built up, all latest BIOS. Same set of HZ works in 2 of the lot, reallly weird tbh, all work fine with Geil Low latency DDR2 800.

I got that psu on a 6300@ 2.6, 2 gig ram , x1900xt, 1 raptor, 200gig sata and usual stuff and had no probs at all.

Just noticed you have a x1800xt why dont' you keep this card ? can't see a x1900xt offering more only in higher resolutions. Maybe then get a faster conroe 6600 for example with 4 meg cache.

Change: HD to a 7200.10 and surely 80GB isnt enough?
Change: GFX - As above (good spotting btw Jabbs) as X1900XT will offer hardly any noticeable performance gains over a X1800XT
Change: CPU Cooler to Sythe Ninja
Change: RAM to GeIL 2GB Ultra low latency

well i have this stuttering issue with the comp im using now, i have tried so many things to fix it but nothing works so thats why im getting rid of the graphs.

also in bf2 it seriously does struggle with everything on high and medium

and in hl2 episode 1, i cant play with high dynamic range or whatever its called turned on because the framerate drops. I cant stand gaming without v-sync on and havin an fps drop below 50

i shall be ordering this within the next fortnight, its looking ok then?

Somethings deffo not right with your system then my bro is on a 3800 am2(2.4 stock) 2 gig ddr2 ram, x1800xt and his runs bf2 fine with everything on max, aa and af on too.
