Had a mess around trying to see if I could overclock this a bit to try to relieve some bottlenecking.
I dropped my RAM back to 166MHz and increased my FSB to 210 which seemed ok. At 215 it seemed a bit flaky (apps crashing) so I upped the voltage a notch and it seemed better. At 220 it is very unstable and even locks on bootup. I noticed that my Hyper Transport was going up beyond 1000 in cpu-z but the only settings for it in my BIOS are either Auto or 200. I can not see anything related to a multiplier that I was expecting.
I would have thought that I should be able to clock my 4000 upto around 2880MHz (12x240) fairly easily but I seem to be struggling.
Is my hypertransport setting (motherboard) screwing me up or do I just need to keep applying more volts? Don't want to damage anything.....

ps. tried the auto-overclock thing off MSI's website and it maxes out at 217.
