AMD 550 BE givign wrong readings?

Okay, so I have this chip, and I'm using the stock cooler. The temperature warning on the motherboard is set to kick in at 60C and it started bleeping when i was encoding. However the CPU core never went over 43C according to AMD Overdrive. I quickly reset the computer and the BIOS said 53C. I'm really confused unless the CPU sensors are broken.

Thoughts?!?

The temp diode that the motherboard is using gives different temps to the actual cpu CORE temps.

Idling everest reports 54C whereas CPU Core 1 & 2 show as 38C, I don't know which one to believe.

I have a Gigabyte MA790XT-UD4P with the F5 BIOS.
