amd 64 3700+, 3800+

will i get much benefit, if any, from purchasing a 3800+ over a 3700+

AMD Athlon 64 3800+ Socket 939 512KB
AMD Athlon 64 3700+ Socket 939 1MB

less cache on the 3800+ but faster cpu

advice appreciated

get the 3700 and clock it they will get to 2.5-2.6 easy mine got to 3ghz

Yeah 3700+ is better bang for buck and is a great clocker, mine is stable at 2.81Ghz on the sandard heatsink and fan thast fx57 speeds!!!

Thats what I am aiming for.

I've just got a 3700 (arrives tomorrow) to replace my 3800 venice and i'm hoping for some good results.

I'd even by happy with 2.6ghz (FX55).

Lets see what happens.
