cheers

I could not work out why one was for £4 cheaper either, it may be something to do when AMD was selling off it stock at a special price to retailers

I am looking to buy one as well.

Basically the CF version is based on the E6 core and will come with a die that runs on 1.35 v, the BN version is based on the E4 core and will come with a die that either usees 1.35/1.40 V.

Ok, I've seen this question come up quite a bit lately. What is the difference between E4 and E6? AMD calls it the chips stepping and CPU-z calls it the cpu's Revision. I'm calling it the CPU's revision since we think of the stepping as something like KACAE or KAB3E. The first revision was the E4. This is what your going to see most people have on this form and others as well. E6 is the new revision. It is considered to be "new and improved", really its just the same CPU and same San Diego core. Now the E6 though is guaranteed to run at 1.35v at stock when you receive it, where the E4 could be anywhere from 1.35v to 1.40v at stock. Also the E6 revision is suppost to better handle four sticks of memory and not off set them to DDR 333.
Some of the E6 cores are not acually a San Diego core, but a Toledo X2 core with one disabled/unfunctional core.
E4 is the revision that seems to overclock the best, however, some E6 revisions seem to overclock alright, but still not as good as the E4 have been lately.
Some good stepping for the E4 revision: KACAE, KAB2E, KAB3E.

ADA3700DCFBOX <---revision E6

When buying the CPU off the internet look for these numbers to tell what revision it is.
