AMD 64 4000 Normal Operating Temp

Hello, all.

I have an AMD 64 4000 processor on a A8N SLI Deluxe motherboard. In your opnion what would be a normal operating temp, both idle and upder load?

Generally idle is something like 30 - 40 and load 40 - 55.

I'm honestly not too sure if its Clawhammer or San Diego... but those temps you gave seem pretty much like my own.

CPU-Z will tell you the core:

Clawhammer tends to be a bit more toasty (particularly idle) but temps will still be around those ranges.

well I have a fx55 clawhammer and my idel temp is 31-32c

You may not like to get that high but the 939 A64s are rated up to 65ºC. I'm not keen on seeing mine within 10ºC of that under load with stock cooling.

My 3000+ idles at high 30s to low 40s and gets to 54ºC under after running prime95 and 3Dmark06 at the same time for an hour. Had a scare over the summer when it went into the mid 60s ºC but cleaned off the dust (only 6-8 months buildup) from the heatsink and the temps dropped 10-15ºC.
