AMD 64 Retail Cooler.

Hi i have an a64 retail cooler here, but have never used it due to having a wc setup, its for socket 939 and i was wondering how quiet it is and how well it would cope with a 3000venice @ stock. im thinking of using it in a htpc so silence is my main aim.

It's surprisingly quiet, unless temps sore into the high 40's/early 50's, when it's a bit more audible. Definitely not bad for a HTPC

thanks, can give it a try when i eventually build the thing, got it free from housemate so thought i may aswell put it into action.

It's quiet at 2000rpm and below, silent at 1600rpm. I have my 3700+ at 1600rpm in my HTPC, 25 idle, 38 load. CAQ enabled.
