AMD 64 X2 (AM2) 1MB L2 Cache Vs 512MB L2 Cache

The chip I want (Above in 1MB L2 Cache) is not available (the energy efficiant one) they do however have the 512MB L2 cache chip available, is there much different between the 2 chips? im going to be using it in a HTPC.
