AMD 6400 Issue

My systems score on 3DMark06 is 7700 which is rubbish for what my system is.

It says my AMD is AMD Unknown CPU and 3D Mark lables my CPU as a Sempron.

Is there anyway for Vista to recognise my chip for what it is?

Bios up to date? All updates? Hotfixes? Software Installs? Driver updates? e.t.c?

well 3Dmark06 not knowing what your cpu is shouldn't change the score.. unless they are faking it again...

I do not know why you should expect higher score given this list of results:

If you check against your GPU you will see that your result is not bad at all.

That does not look too bad,you are not going to get a big score with that GPU and AMD chips aren't big haulers on 3dmak 06 eather

7700 is great for an X1950XT.

Yip the GPU wont score much more, run 2005 if you want a pure GPU score.

You need to upgrade the bios, its probably only seeing one core processor. Same issue with my old 939 lanparty.
