what the highest clock you can safely get these cpu's to with stock cooling ?

i know its prolly been spoken about before but couldnt find any info on it... :)
 
2.4ghz is no problem. 29 degrees celsius idle at the moment. 24 mobo. 11x, 220 FSB. I wouldn't mind someone helping me out OC a bit more out of it. 2.6ghz should be reachable I think.
 
I've got mine running at 2.65 with 1.45 volts.
The temp under load is 60c which is a little high, so I've ordered an SI120for it as it is nice amd stable at 2.65.

IIRC I had it at 2.6 using 1.4 volts and the load temp was 50c which is a bit more sensible.

I've had it up to 2.75 but was unstable and the temps were too high to push more volts through it.
I will try pushing it a bit more when I get the SI120.

Edit: Just checked screenshots I took when doing 1mb superpi and it was at 2.8 not 2.75 - but unstable at 1.5 volts.

Is all this with stock cooling tho ? LOL

all i want to know is, what clock can you get to on stock cooling ?

Less cache - so it's easier to clock up.

I have my X2 4400 at 2640MHz at 1.45Vcore on air (XP-90C).

Well I upgraded my HS from a EVO 120mm and gained 100MHz, so in that case on the stock cooler (depending on stepping) you might be looking at 2.5-2.6GHz.

I have mine at 2640mhz now with the stock HSF. Using 11x Multi with HTT at 4x and FSB at 240mhz. The only worry i have is the PWM gets upto 65c when doing 3dmark06 CPU test
 
Ok it's been at 2.4ghz so decided to go a bit higher, had a problem booting into Windows at 2.6ghz so reduced it a bit. Now ok..

Recommendations/tips about CPU/memory timings? Everything look ok?
 
System bought in a last three weeks from OC Uk.
What is HT link speed supposed to be? I think 400 is ok, but setting to 600 and reboot fails.
