AMD 6970 - how can I set GPU Clock to max value?

I'm trying to play the new title, IL2 CoD, which still needs a lot of tweaking. One issue I'm having is that the game won't get the GPU Clock to speed up towards its maximum setting (currently the default 880 MGHz), but instead leaves it at the minimum 500 MGHz.

Even using an internet browser gets the Clock to increase for some spikes, but during the game it sits at a solid 500 MGHz. I'm monitoring it with GPU-Z and CCC (on a second display), and can see their working while the game is running.

I've seen a youtube clip on setting the Clock to max:
right click on CCC in system tray, highlight card, 3D Settings, then 'force maximum clock speed' or something, but I don't have that last option.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Thank you both for the reply.
Use msi afterburner.

There is an unlock for it so that the clocks can go even higher
But the problem is not trying to get the clocks to go even higher (I think CCC allows a bit of a boost too) it's simply making the clock reach their default maximum (880). I've got MSI running, and I can't see a way of forcing the GPU to run at 880 minimum.

I think what you are noticeing is your GPU has 3 different settings depending on what you are doing to help svae power and keep your card cool.

250/150, Idel desk top speeds
500/1375, 2d apps/movies
880/1375, 3d apps/ games
That sounds right - I think the problem is that the game is not correctly showing the GC that it is a 3d app, so it won't go above 500 MGHz.

I would note though that when idle, looking at desktop, it sits at 500/1375. Even just while I move things around my desktop the clock speed goes up to 880 every now and then.

Unless your talking about overclocking it then go to the performance tab in your CCC then overdrive and click the little padlock icon that will unlock the overclocking options.
No, I was already using that AMD Overdrive tab to check the settings, and they're good.

Just to be clear, my GC settings are all correct (no overclock, just defaults) and the game is at fault, but I can't fix the game. So, can I force the GC to use the maximum clock speed (which I have set at 880 MGHz)?
