Any idea why 7900 becoming an unicorn?

That's increased sales. But does AMD still making them? And if so what volumes?
They going out of stock UK wide.

Last time I bought GPU was 3070FE from Nvidia. Fighting bots. Now I'm considering 7900xtx only for it to disappear. GPUS can't catch a break .

Im wondering, and slightly puzzled about new amd 9070 increased power draw. Any ideas what benefits can this card get from extra power draw if its not supose to be better than 7900xtx

Speculation about power draw: I saw one card with 3 8 pin plugs. Started to wonder why 3 plug? Must be for unreasonable power draw.

The 7900xtx sapphire nitro plus version I have can draw 450watts. However you can easily get that down to reasonable levels with some very easy tweaking. For hardly any performance loss. In some cases it’s faster.

I would like sapphire. But no stock.
Was looking at pulse or nitro.
Let's see what next week brings.


Also I saw 9070xt with 3 8 pin connectors.
