About to run BF3 and test on my 7970.

Things noticed so far

No shell integration for CCC and CCC is still version 12.4.

First impressions are it's definitely smoother in BF3 (Metro/Caspian hardcore 64 players)

Edit, un installed the CAP and will test again. If that fails i'll reinstall the 12.4 beta with 8.96 and just try and update the 8.97 driver over the top....
Edit2 removed the CAP and it's now ok :]

Your 7970 overclock is that with the Asus OC bios? Does it have higher vcore and aggressive fan profile or just unlocked upper limits in overdrive?

Yes, unlocked Asus BIOS, clocks at 1150/1650 at 1.2v set in TRIXX and at +20% in CCC, auto stock fan profile.

Removed the AMD CAP from add/remove programs and BF3 is running fine now, will try a run of Heaven/Furmark to test.

They have still not fixed the second or third card being stuck in 3D mode at idle. Nice one AMD - nice one.

Did a complete purge of ATI/AMD drivers, fresh install of these and still the second/third cards are stuck in a different power mode, not the 925 they was but 500, and not the 300 the first card is at.

I don't think that can be avoided on cards 2 and 3 on AMD setups tbh, but it's got to be better (cooler) than full on clocks right?

Had to do System Restore after installing these to get pc back normal, be wary.

With most reporting improvements, there must be something underlying wrong with your system/setup then.
