I had the entire morning to myself and my pc
So let us do something interesting
Got a AMD 960T on my MSI 990XA-GD55 AMD 990X Chipset

Having a X3 705e at 3.8Ghz 1.45V temperature 47 Max
The 960T will unlock whenever it wants but on x6 got it at 3.9Ghz on 1.65V
On X4 got it to 4.3Ghz with 1.65V again

The interesting thing is that without the side panel on the cpu block does not get warm
In the same circumstance as the x3 at 1.65V dose not go over 37 degrees

Should i push it further? i am scared frankly but it is a itch

I had x6 at 4.0Ghz with 1.65v.
And x4 at 4.2Ghz at the same voltage.

Anything higher than that was unstable. Seems quite decent you got it that high. My temps with my alpenfohn k2 were around 30-35C stable, up to around 65-70 under load.

to be fair, from a stock 4 cores at 3Ghz, its a big jump.

That is the thing i do not get
Load temperature dose not go over 40 degrees compared to the x3 at the same voltage it gets 47 degrees

But at the moment the videocard might be passing to the afterlife
HD 5850 will not run with any OC anymore and overall load temp went up by 10 degrees

I had it running at 900/1200 the last year
It was doing 950/1300 stock voltage but at the moment 800 is the max it will do

The cooler on the 5850 gathered a lot of dust? Also which cooler do you use on your CPU? I can get 960t to x6 3.9ghz on 1.45v is it safe to go all the way to 1.65?
