AMD 965 Cooler Upgrade

So i still got the stock fan and to be honest itz lame :(!

i want a upgrade
im using it with OCZ DDR3 1600Mhz ram

And would like to OC abit *not 2 much i find 3.4Ghz good enough*
i just mainly want cool temps around 30C or low idle

I only thing of spending around 25-30 maybe abit more if i have to to be honest as i need a need PSU and case soon *not now* :)!

Plus i want to ask with all AM2 coolers work with AM3 and will they be good enough?!

I don't think i've ever seen a 965 not get to 4GHz, some of the other chips perhaps though.

I'm confused, is the OP looking for a new cooler? For around £30 most of the stuff on OCUK is great, look at the Baram (although you do have to buy a fan), Akasa Freedom Tower or Titan Fenir.

They can boot to 4GHZ, but they don't seem to always get stable lol.
 
yh im just looking for a CPU cooler :)!
for around 30 will go higher if i have to :)!
i want somthing which looks nice and works good
 
Titan Fenrir is good.

Ive not had a 965 boot stable at 4GHz yet. Im not comfortable with silly voltages though.
 
I have a 965 on a Titan Fenrir, thinking about trying it without the fan because it never goes over 50C.

Overclocked to 3.8ghz @ 1.50v, which is apparantly the highest clock it will go to on the max safe voltage.
