AMD 9800X3D ETA OFFICIAL THREAD

Good to see orders being shipped, it looks like they are getting a fair ammout of stock in.
Just wondering when are the orders made between 14:45 and 15 on the launch day expected to ship, that 15 min seems unnacounted for :) mine went through at 14:53
Need to order few other bits and if it's expected in Dec I will wait and see if i can get some of it on sale.

I ordered 2 new SSDs for my new build including a PCIE 5 one coz why not. Went with free shipping for forum members and it was send DPD next day. Was obviously only a small pack as well
I'm so tempted to get a pcie 5.0 m.2. I don't need one at all...
But it would be rude not to considering I have a new motherboard with a 5.0 slot. Lol.

I was all set to jump in here and grumble that my launch-day order at 13:56:58 hadn’t shipped, while others who ordered later were getting excited with their dispatch e-mails. So I hit “Forgot Password” to log in (it's been that long), only to find BOTH my password reset email and my DPD notification hiding in my spam folder.

To be fair no ones actually has a dispatch email yet afaik.

All we've had is notification from DPD that they are expecting to pick up a parcel from oc for us.

Doesn't mean an awful lot yet. Just that oc are pushing through the e paperwork.

Even if they go out today it could be very very late depending on when DPD pick stuff up from oc's warehouse. The last time I ordered it was for Sunday delivery and I didn't get an email from oc till well after 11:00pm then a proper dispatch email at 5:00am!

Fair point. Could well be tomorrow that DPD actually collect all the CPUs ready for shipping on Thursday/whenever for all we know.

Maybe that’ll mean everyone who ordered up till 14:09 will be getting it shipped at some point and they are working through them but not necessarily in a chronological order.
I'm one of those people that ordered at 14:09 and you could be right. I have an email from DPD, but that only says 'we're expecting your parcel' not that they have it and it's going to be delivered tomorrow.

Seems weird how it's gone so crazy for these. I'm sure the next 3D cache chips will have more cach on both chiplets so people will probably upgrade again.
I think it’s just been down to recent CPU launches being a flop so the first decent one that’s come along in a while has seen a lot of pent up demand, in the grand scheme the 9800X3D has been overhyped by reviewers and isnt really that much faster than a 7800X3D which i probably would have bought instead if it had still been selling around £300

I am a bit disappointed in myself when I was watching the launch I was checking other places as usually (in my experience) OCUK has been more expensive so I end up at certain other retailers but they are all seemed to take the mick this time with £370+!

The delay in checking all the sites and sorting out some work meant I finally ordered at 14:18:46, so looks like I should be in the second batch hopefully before the end of the month but if I'm lucky maybe your window for first batch expands by a few minutes haha.

Last CPU I bought on launch was the 1700, that was plentiful stock and no wait but people didn't have that much faith in AMDs return to the high end at that point.

Hopefully AMD provides much more stock soon and customs doesn't hold it up again.

Super jealous here, you lucky few! I still have some time to wait I'm afraid... if only I had something to get me through in the meantime but guess no gaming for me until more stock comes in

I know I'm a sample size of 1, but this was a planned upgrade for me. I have had my 5800x build for 4 years and I usually upgrade every two (sometimes three) generations, so I was jumping on this regardless. And I'm a gamer primarily so I'm not too bothered about the 9900x3d or 9950x3d, so I won't be upgrading again when they drop.

No, I don't believe you ordered it at 1.45! How's that for objective fact! FFS, stop whining like a puerile spoilt brat and just wait patiently like most others who are grateful that they got one at RRP.
why are you arguing with me. do i need to send my bank statement to you..I said 1.45 and thats when it went through..***No thank you, read the rules***

Same. 3700x here and I was always jumping on the second generation of am5 chips. too much stress getting the first gen of any platform, had that with the first Ryzen chips. Never again. Lol.

The fact this is the "most powerful gaming CPU of all time" is an amazing bonus.
