I think you'll be waiting a long time, probably until next gen. Price is more likely to go up over time based on what we've just seen, not down.Think I am going to wait until they come down in price. FOMO not worth it.

Three point one four twohow many 9800x3ds were there in the first batch?
Yeah, with such a highly in demand product always separate it from main order.Anyone with experience on this?
That's already available mate you can buy one now.Hopefully I would be one of the lucky ones that got in that batch.
If not just bring out the 9950x already I will just get one of those instead.

6000mhz with as tight timings as you can; or potentially 8000mhz but I mean.... who's gonna fork out that money for minimum gains? What speed DDR5 is the sweet spot this chip?
6000C30 if cheap (Mdie mem), 6600C28/2200fclk if expensive (see @LtMatt 's tweaking posts). What speed DDR5 is the sweet spot this chip?

The novelty always wears off and to be honest gaming at 4K the gpu is likely to be where the money is better spent even if that means a 7800x3dI think you'll be waiting a long time, probably until next gen. Price is more likely to go up over time based on what we've just seen, not down.
This is why I had to return the b650 I bought. Bios just refused to update at all. (Had to try and flash using usb and qflash or whatever it's called, named correctly, double checked. )Remember people to update your BIOS as well for these chips. A lot of people don't seem to like to do this but it is necessary.
