AMD 9800X3D ETA OFFICIAL THREAD

Called and got upgraded to Saturday DPD delivery for free (from DPD next day).

He said no guarantee it ships today, so if it does not ship today, he said I need to call again tomrrow to revert back to next day delivery, otherwise it will only be delivered on Saturdays :D

Nice that they upgraded for free. Makes me think people with next day DPD, if it ships today, will get Saturday delivery anyways? Maybe?
I did the same via ticket first thing this morning. Not that I expect mine to ship today as it seems a few people who ordered a good 20+ mins before me haven't got theirs. Although according to Paypal my payment was instant. In any case I have an order in elsewhere which apparently is due to ship today so we'll see who wins... Knowing my luck I'll end up with two or none by tomorrow

I’d advice nobody calls up to change a delivery because if they arrive late today your order would then not ship at all so it’s too risky to amend a delivery on a order and risk order not shipping at all.

Not sure I get this, I called yesterday to change to Sat DPD, did I **** up by doing so?

@Gibbo *if* you manage to start shipping them out today, and someone is on DPD Next Day Delivery, would they get theirs shipped today (to arrive tomorrow) or would they need to be on Saturday Delivery?

That will put us at 666 shipped
Did someone say cursed launch?!

Fantastic - went from 7800x3D to 9800x3D and seen huge gains in Tarkov.

This is good news, although I doubt it will do much for my fear of scavs.

Hopefully isolated incidents, but when you get your shiny new CPU make sure you you seat them properly in the socket.

Two AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPUs have burned out, and both were installed on an MSI MAG X870 TOMAHAWK motherboard

Small note from our side, if you look at the right image, I highlighted damage to the socket in blue. This processor was likely not seated properly.

Look at the 9800x3d thread, people have been talking about it, most likely user error when installing the cpu's as there's damage to the socket so it isn't sitting properly. https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/amd-ryzen-7-9800x3d.18994330/page-85

Yes, both sockets show force damage indicative of an incorrectly inserted CPU. Carry on!

It's been debunked yesterday:

People will do a lot for extra attention.

I just double ordered chips and motherboards to have backups.

I assume no update from Gibbo means they got them in and are flat out shipping them (I am a glass half full person! :) )
I still feel we need official conformation on the delivery. I haven't seen anyone confirm a cpu has been shipped today etc

I was thinking the same thing.

I haven't gotten an email yet, and by the looks of it, no one actively on the forum has either which means, what, they are either waiting for them to arrive or preparing them for shipping?
