Do you know what a paper launch is?
Stock getting stuck at customs does not = a paper launch... Other retailers have shipped some already that managed to get through customs. In the US they were sold in physical stores from day 1. (Just not for long)
Extreme demand and extreme scalper intervention does not mean limited stock.

On OCUK they have stopped taking the pre orders and its set to "notify me".
Unsure if this will change as the weeks go on, I would get OCUK to notify you when its back in stock

I think the main thing is because this is literally the only CPU of this entire generation on both sides that is worth buying, so instead of an even spread of people buying different CPUs of the same generation, everyone is just buying this one.

I am bit upset with the situation. I think all shops if physically don't have the stock in warehouse they should not put it for sale.
Now people need to wait who know how long ?
I have talked with customer service this morning and they don't know when they get the first batch. The guy said maybe end of the week :/.

Next year now for new orders.
The CPU’s are still in customs, which is not OCUKs fault in any way.

Better this way, stock gets allocated via preorders rather than a massive rush when it all comes in.
That would be worse considering no one knows when it will clear customs and actually reach the warehouse.
At the end of the day they will be here when they are here. It's not just the UK that has no stock.

Surely it does matter whether it is a preorder rush or a rush when stock comes in? The affect is the same. At least 2PM on Thursday last week was a fixed predictable time which allowed people to be ready, it is better than a non predictable rush when the stock arrives, that would make more people upset.

They put them on pre-order for the amount of stock they should have had. They never got the stock due to UK Customs, thats out of the hands of both AMD and OCUK.
Stop crying, learn, be part of this community and you too might be able to get the next new thing.
