AMD 9800X3D ETA OFFICIAL THREAD

Yes I clicked on "pre order" last night and got DPD notification this afternoon, I had to push the delivery date back since it dispatched way quicker than I expected, and last week I was thinking January would be a best case scenario with a lot of luck, so this is a surprise! Now I need to figure out the other bits to buy XD
 
Got the DPD email today. Ordered on the 8th. Thanks @Gibbo and OCUK team for making it happen in time for the holidays!

Thanks as well to the community here for keeping things interesting during the supply crisis. It was a pleasure waiting it out with you fine people :D

Now on to the long grind for the 5090...

You paid for next working day delivery, that is a DPD service not an OCUk service 99% of the time OCUK get the orders out the door on day of order (if in stock) but at times like these with crazy CPU launch ansd Black Friday, sometimes you may have to wait the extra day for OCUKL to despatch. Its just the way it is

It’s not that I don’t sympathise with how busy the business is but it is OCUK offering the service, in my instance the order page said the following “Want your order tomorrow the 29th of November? Order within the next 3hrs 40 mins with next working day (mon-fri DPD) for UK mainland delivery.

It’s a service I’m being told is available and I have ordered on that basis, if it can’t be fulfilled and OC can’t dispatch to DPD in time for it to be delivered on the next day then it really should not be offered, that being said it is what it is and certainly isn’t the end of the world, so I’ll leave my grumble at that and try to show a little more empathy.

Had I visited this forum before ordering this morning my expectations may have been different.

Can I ask those who believe they should have received their order by now, or at least a shipment notification, to reach out to our customer service team so they can advise and assist if required

Ordered at 4.10Am 8 Nov. Got the OCUK and DPD email at 3.54 pm while I was at work.

Was I worried mine had not gone through? Yes. Did I doubt @Gibbo? No. He was the one who helped me last time on the release day 4090 Amazon Pay poopstorm.
 
When I was placing my order on the 27th, I wasnt able to select any other delivery means other that Royal mail Standard 5 day delivery. I wouldnt mind paying extra to have DPD deliver instead - is it possible to upgrade the delivery?

You can upgrade. But now that your order is through let it work it way through the system. By changing the delivery you may lose your place in the queue or whatnot as so many people are after one they are under siege.

I am kinda in like limbo now that mine is on its way. The frustration the ooohhhhs and ahhhs while waiting for that elusive email. Now that it's here its like Meh. For me it was all about the chase. Now where's the 9950x3D and 5090 pre order?

It just never ends does it. It’s always the next big thing. I’m upgrading from a 3700x though so I think the 9800x3d and 5090 combo should satiate my greed for the next 5 years at least.

if you are upgrading from a 3700x and whatever card you are using atm then it will seem like a huge leap in performance. I am more than sure you will be happy with it for many years.
