My PC came with a AMD A10 5700 APU with Radeon HD Graphic installed in it and I noticed when playing a lot of games Task manager showed that my CPU was easily the bottleneck in the system running at 100% when other parts showed at 30% - 50%. I started doing some comparisons online and it may not be the most powerful card out there but it compares very well against other much more expensive cards. Is there something im doing wrong with the card? or something I can do to improve its performance without overclocking it?

The intergrated graphics of the A10 5700 performs well but the cpu is not as good and will be push hard when gaming.

So what would be a good replacement for me to get bearing in mind 2 factors:
1. I have around a £200 limit (can go a bit over).
2. I play a few games that are CPU intensive but doesn't make much use of the GPU, such as minecraft.

Or personally better than spending large amounts of money, can something be done with the card to improve it without causing it to overheat and die on me.

When you say the card i take it you mean the cpu as the graphics is incorporated in the cpu.

If your happy with the performace you could get a better cpu cooler.

Could you list your system spec please ?

Ok so if im looking to overclock the CPU to reach 4GHz speeds, what kind of cooling would you recommend. Please bear in mind the pc already runs relatively hot at times due to the graphics card.

Height: 36.8 cm (14.4 inches)
Width: 16.5 cm (6.4 inches)
Depth: 38.9 cm (15.3 inches)

edit: if its any help the graphics card literally just fit inside. anything larger than that has a 0% chance of fitting.

Before you buy a cooler have you give the case and cpu and gpu heatsinks a good clean to remove all dust ? It can make a big diffrence in temps. As for a cooler it hard to suggest and i cant find anything about max height you mite have to measure it.

Thats honestly much cheaper than I was expecting. I will messure the inside on my pc tomorow to see if it will fit. while we wait if you have any other suggestions please do add them and I will take a look.

Thank you for the amazing amount of help.
