Is anyone using this processor, if so what software do you use to monitor the CPU temperature, as CPUID only sees the GPU temperature as does a few others I have tried.

Starting with the FX series AMD stopped using 1 sensor per core like Intel do and use 1 sensor per CPU. There is no montioring software out there that will give you actual core temps. I run an A10-5800K and HWMonitor can only read the socket temp sensor. Coretemp shows one reading of zero. I have tried countless other tools with zero success. The only reliable tool is AMD overdrive.

Even this tool at idle shows incorrect values. Only once I start to stress the CPU do I see a change in the temp of each core. So what if Overdrive only shows thermal margin. Find the TJMax of your cpu and subtract from the thermal margin reading in Overdrive. This will equal the correct temp of your CPU. Also below 25 degrees you will get wacky readings with all tools including Overdrive. I mean I currently have a thermal margin of 70, so my CPU cores are at 4 degrees :p
