For Christmas I built the mother in law a small tower for web browsing, it has developed rather quickly artifacting on the desktop and restarting or black screening. when I ran memtest it reported the ram as faulty, I fitted my dominator ram and the system still failed and also reported the ram faulty. I my dominator ram isn't as it's fine in my machine.

The issue I'm having is the cpu is an apu amd a4 so I have no idea if the graphics issues are the onboard graphics of the cpu, the memory controller of the cpu or an issue with the motherboards ram slots.
My system is intel and as such means I'm unable to test the cpu and mobo, adoes any one have any clues as to what I can do to mitigate sending both back under rma and being charged for the one that is not faulty?

sorry for the late reply.

All drivers are the latest vailable, motherboard has had the bios updated also.
specs:
gigabyte F2A68HM-HD2
AMD a4 6300 apu
4gb ddr3
350w psu

Is the memory 1600mhz or slower? in other words is the memory controller being run within spec? the motherboard says it supports 1866-2100hz memory but those speeds are for A6-A10 processors, the A4 is rated at 1600mhz for memory as far as I can tell.
