amd a8 6600k

Hi all , i seem to be having a problem with my cpu it seems to be bottle necking and lagging, as u can see above it a amd a8 6600k but if i play rust i'm getting constant notifications of high cpu usage and computer is lagging, and wont run mutliply programmes and the fans are on full constant at the point, any ideas.

you need to post the specs of the other components you are using.

also sounds like its getting hot.

other parts are a gigabyte a88x motherboard, 8g ram teamgroup ram, stock cooler , MSI r9 290 oc gpu

I'm not sure if Rust is very CPU intensive but the A8-6600k is a major bottleneck to an R9 290 and is overall a weak CPU. There aren't any good CPU's on socket FM2 in terms of playing the latest games, really, at the level where you're using an R9 290 you really want at least an i3 or one of the AMD FX processors. (in this case obviously an i3 is a much better call as you will have to jump to a new platform to get more CPU performance)
