I just wanted to make a post and get opinions on how "Bulldozer" has affected AMD as a company, I'm currently running a quad phenom 9950 and have been last few years, but have been considering an upgrade for few months, was orignally going to go for a 1090t but decided with new chipsets and processor coming out soon I'd hang on and get the newest tech, after the overhyped bulldozer ( which I really wanted to succeed as I had a list of parts to buy lol ) failed to deliver it seems the best option is to turn over to intel, more expensive undoubtedly but your guaranteed to get the best, and hence my opinion to turn to intel, not a fan-boy of either but merely looking for the best all round product as a consumer and originally that appeared to be bulldozer but turns out it wasnt.
I have read 1-2 articles here where people seem to be in the same predicament, asking for a brief overview of intel ( such as chipsets for intel platforms etc ) and a rough comparison of price/preformance, and it seems that people are turning over to intel.
So how much do you think Bulldozer has affected AMD, previously it could argue for the "bang for buck" it was your top choice, may not be the fastest but good value for money, it seems that intel still holds the crown for performance....but also its i5-2500 is also stealing the bang for buck crown.
Opinions please
